Chapter 6 I opened my eyes and stared at my alarm clock. It was 10:00 in the morning, but I didn't really feel like getting up so I just made sure the alarm was off before closing my eyes again and turning around in the bed.
That's when I felt something else in the bed. I opened my eyes, only to come face to face with Jo's sleeping face.
I jumped out of bed and tripped over the covers, making me fall out of bed. At the last second, I imagined a giant hand catching me out the air and I stopped a few inches from the floor. I lifted my head up to see whether or not Jo had seen what I had did, and found she was still asleep.
I breathed a sigh of relief and floated myself upright before sitting on the bed. 'Why the hell is she in my bed?' I thought, then my eyes traveled down her body, finding that the only thing she was wearing was my blanket. I felt my cheeks grow hot. I was about to shake her awake and ask why the hell why she in my bed (Naked mind you!) When I remembered all of the things that had happened last night.
I smiled and stroked her hair out of her face, causing her to smile and mumble in her sleep. I hesitated for only a second before kissing her on the forehead, before making my way downstairs.
I had just finished making a cup of tea for myself and was in the middle of making some coffee, when the phone rang. I read the caller ID which said mom and answered the phone.
"Hello?" "J.P is that you? I've been calling for hours! What were you two doing?" Mom asked. I blinked once. "Sleeping." I answered slowly. "Well listen, I'm going to have to leave you alone for a while longer, the tree still hasn't been cleared and by the time it is, i'll have to go back to work so I'm just going to stay at my girl's house and see you later on tonite around 12:30 ish okay?" I was barely paying attention to the conversation anymore, I was too busy thinking about the naughty things Jo and I would be doing to each other during the day."Hello?
J.P? " My mother's voice shook me out of my lust induced stupor. "Sorry, I was getting my tea out the freezer (I happen to like my tea cold in the morning) but yeah I heard you and i'll make sure that Jo knows as well." I said "Make sure to call me if there are any problems ok?
The Fund money is in my drawer if you need it." Mom said "Okay mom, have fun, see you tonight." I said hanging up the phone. I did a silent cheer and finished making Jo's coffee as soon as she walked into the kitchen with nothing on but my T-shirt that was a two sizes too big and covered her all the way down to just above her knees. As soon as I saw her the first thought that went through my mind was 'she looks goregous' then she yawned and rubbed her eyes with one hand streching with her other making her look incredibly adorable.
I couldn't help myself as I walked over to my love and hugged her tightly. "Morning beautiful." I whispered in her ear causing a grin to spread across her lips. "And good morning to you as well handsome." Jo replied pulling me down for a kiss. "It was lonely in the bed without you." she said as we broke the kiss and she laid on my chest tracing lazy circles. "Well it's going to have to be lonely for a bit longer until we get showered cause frankly we stink." Jo giggled slightly.
"Okay mister smelly, you wanna go first or are you going to let me go?" I grinned as an I dea popped into my head. "I've got an even better idea, first let's head up to the bathroom." Jo peered up at me with a mischevious grin on her face. "What are you planning?" I pushed myself from her before answering. "I told you, upstairs first, secret next." I gesured at the stairs until, with a huff, she walked up the stairs.
As she walked past me I swatted her on the ass which caused her to squeal in suprise and her beautiful bottom to jiggle wonderously. As she walked up the stairs, she jiggled her behind before turning around and sticking her tougne out at me and rushing up the stairs. I ran after, shaking my head while laughing at her playful antics. When we finally arrived into the bathroom, Jo sat on the toilet and stared at me while I stripped off my shirt. "Okay, what's the big reveal?" Jo asked sarcastically and I grinned at her reaction." Strip, we're getting in the shower together." Jo looked excited as she shed her T-shirt.
(Which had nothing under I might add.) I turned on the water to it's usual steaminess and stepped inside enjoying the hot water. I smiled as Jo entered the shower with me. The shower was kinda of a tight fit so we had to move around a bit until we found a position that worked, Jo laying on my chest and me with my back against the wall.
"This is nice." Jo purred slightly as I slowly scrubbed her back with the soap. I went down to her behind, making sure they were thoroughly scrubbed, before leaning down and washing her thighs, starting with the insides and working my way downwards towards her feet scrubbing the bottom lightly causing her to giggle. I handed over the soap and tried to relax as Jo did the same to me. After we had finished washing each other, we just relaxed there enjoying each other's company as well as the water.
I finally turned off the water which caused Jo to groan in displeasure and made me chuckle. "Sorry but I don't think the neighbors would be all that forgiving if we used up all the water in the city." I joked. "Fuck the neighbors," Jo growled in my ear "I want to stay in this shower with my man and nobody can say shit about it!" I felt my heart grow a bit at that statement.
"Your man?" I repeated smiling and Jo blushed realizing what she just.
"W-Well it's Just that. UmAnd you. you-" I cut her off with a passionate kiss. "I happen to like being the man to the most beautiful woman in the world." I said with a smirk as Jo blushed even harder. "Y-You really mean it?" She whispered quietly "Absolutely." I answered without hesitation and was shocked to see she was crying. "Baby what's wrong?" I asked getting out the shower ans sitting down with her in my lap, sniffling.
"I-it's just that n-no one has ever called me beautiful before." Jo replied wiping her eyes. "What?" I said staring at her open-mouthed. I had all always figured that, being a female jock and all, she would have half the school drooling over her. "Yeah, all of the guys wouldn't date me cause they thought I was to boyish.
I ended up alone alot during dances and stuff until I just stopped showing unless the team was going." Jo said looking down to the ground. "Well guess what? That just means that the school is completly blind to not notice such a goddess in front of them all the time." I declared. Jo blushed before looking away and mumbling"You're just saying that, you probably don't mean it." "Jo look at me," I said as I grabbed her chin and pulled it softly upwards, causing her to look at my face.
"Belive me when I say this: You are the most beautiful creature who has ever walked the earth, from your face, to your hair, down to each one of your toes.
You are absolutly stunning and I am lucky to have you as my girl." I said looking at her directly in the eyes, which began to tear up when I was finished.
Jo threw her arms around my neck and squeezed me tightly. "J.P you are the just the best! I love you so much!" She said tears streaming from her face.
After she had calmed down a bit, I grabbed a towel and began toweling her off. Once I finished, I dried myself off quickly before sweeping Jo off of her feet in my arms causing her to gasp softly." "J.P!
Where are we going?" Jo asked laughing as I twirled her around before leaving the bathroom. "To show you just how much I love you." I said with a smile as I walked into my bedroom and set her lightly on the bed.
No sooner than I had done so, I began kissing her passionatly, my hands in her hair and hers on my back. I moved my mouth after a minute of kissing (Another groan from jo) and began lightly nibbiling on her earlobe.
As soon as I started, Jo began bucking wildly, thrashing all over the bed. Stunned, I continued licking and suckling while holding her down the best I could. Finally she screamed as she orgasmed, splattering both of our legs in her juices.
I waited as she caught her breath before wrapping her in my arms and laughing silently. "And.just what is.so.funny?" Jo asked breathless but still managing a playful glare.
"All that and I still haven't really touched you yet." I started really craking up now and Jo joined in, laughing that musical laugh of hers. I shook my head thinking that in only a few weeks, I could not have been any more happier in my life. I have the girl of my dreams, I am more powerful than everyone, and I have super powers!
I frowned as I thought about something important: should I tell Jo about my powers? Or should I keep it to myself? The memory of the lunch incident was still fresh in my mind. Could I trust my sister? Or would she stab in the back again? "J.P? Are you okay?" Jo's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked at her face filled with concern and worry.
I decided that I would tell her somday, but not today, not now. I wiped of my frown and put on a smile on my face. "It's nothing," I lied. "Just a thought." Jo stared at my face for a while and I stared back, my smile never leaving it's place even when it felt like I was sweating bullets. "You're hiding somthing J.P, I can tell. "Shitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshit! Even though I was panicing on the inside, I still managed to keep a calm demeanor and my smile on my face.
"What do you mean? I'm not hiding anything." I said trying to pass my lie as acceptable. Jo seemed to stare straight thorugh me and see my thoughts indivisually. Finally, Jo stopped her attack on my conscience, but stood up from the bed and walked towards the door.
I scrambled off after her. "Wait, where are you going?" Jo turned around her eyes determined. "The last time one of us kept a secret from the other, Both of us got hurt and I'm in no mood to be hurt that badly again." As she closed the door between us I heard somthing that sounded suspiciously like a sob. Chapter 7 Two days had passed since that day and neither of us was talking to each other, Jo for obvious reasons and me for fear of how Jo would react if I told her the truth about me.
The only time when we actually said anything to each other was when I felt like I was about to crack and had called to her as she walked passed me in the hallway at home. "Jo, wait a minute." I had said. Jo had turned around with a bit of hope in her eyes, but I also saw a something else that scared me a little: A deep curiosity that was so strong, it seemed almost like a hunger. "Nevermind." And we had both walked away, disappointed in myself.
As the days turned to weeks, prom was coming turned around the corner. A few girls had asked me out but I turned them down saying that I wasn't going. Jo on the other hand was super excited to be going to her prom. "I'm going to wear a dress and ride in a limo and me and my date are going to dance and be nominated King and Queen!" She yelled in one breath when mom asked during dinner. I said nothing and just got up from the table, food not touched, and went to walk up the stairs.
"Joseph, are you okay?" I mumbled a response and turned to the stairs. "Well what about you? Who are you going to the prom with?" I wished more than anything that we would not have this conversation right here and now. "I'm not going with anyone." I whispered "What was that? I couldn't hear you." In a sudden fury, I spun on my heel to face the both of them, who recoiled in the face of my anger. "I SAID I'M NOT GOING!" I turned back around and half ran up the stairs into my room where I slammed the door closed.
I didn't feel any better after I came in, In fact, I felt even more enraged. I picked up my bedside table and threw it across the room and was followed by my desk lamp and then the desk itself.
I heard knocking on my door, But I wasn't in the mood for any visitors so I locked the door mentally. I kicked my bed, sending it skidding across the floor and resting in front of my closet. I slammed down my dresser before finally running out of fumes. I sat myself down on the overturned dresser and sat there with my hands over my face. "J.P! Open the damn door! J.P!" I sighed knowing she wouldn't go away anytime soon so I unlocked the door. As soon as the lock came off, Jo came bursting through the door. She gasped at the wreckage but other than that didn't say anything at all.
She just closed the door behind her and sat down beside me. I don't know how long we sat there, Me with my hands over my face and her with her arms over me in a gentle embrace. Finally, Jo stood up taking away her warmth and love away as well.
I looked up to see her walking towards the door. Without thinking, my hand snapped out to grab her wrist. Jo stopped, but didn't turn around. I felt my mouth opening and closing, but I could find the words I wanted to say, Anything could have better than the silence we were in. Jo finally broke out of my grip and practically ran out of my room and I looked after her unable to go after her.
I felt the tears come then as I turned around wondering why the hell I couldn't bring myself to do the simplest things.
I faced my full body mirror in my closet which had been opened by the bed hitting it. My vision turned red as I looked at my reflection.
The one person in my life who I cared about more than anything was walking out of my life and, once again, I was powerless to stop it. I yelled as I snapped my fist out shattering the mirror and it's reflection. *********** "Well it should be okay now, but what I would like to know is how in the world did you get shards of glass stuck in your knuckles?" The doctor asked as he finished bandaging my hand while I sat on the living room couch. Mom had called the doctor when I came downstairs, my hand a bloody mess.
Thankfully, the doctor did house calls and was here in ten minutes. I mumbled something about trying to move it out the way and tripping. The doc sighed as snapped up his bag before standing up. I heard him and my mom talking in the kitchen as I rubbed my bandages. "He'll be fine physically, but I suggest getting a psychologist to see his mental state." "Why what's wrong with him?
He hasn't been acting strange in any way." My mom replied. "Well the way the shards were imbedded into his skin suggest that he punched the mirror." There was silence for a minute and I tried to flex my hand.
"Well in any case, you should keep an eye on him for a while, just to be sure. Here's the card for one of my associates that specialize in psychology, call her if there are any problems." I heard the front door slam and his truck pull away as the doctor made his exit.
I got up and stretched, getting ready to head for bed. Mom came in, worry written all over her face. "You okay hun?" she asked "I'm fine mom, really. I was just trying to get my mirror down from the door to hang it up on my wall instead and tripped, the glass broke and landed on my hand.
Look you don't need to worry okay? I'm perfectly fine." As I walked back up the stairs, I heard her mumble.
to herself "Sometimes I can't help but worry about you." For the next couple of days, things were tense between the three of us. School wasn't much better since prom was coming up. Everyone was excited and going. I was asked to do random photography by our art teacher mr, warden. When prom night came I found myself sitting next to the door, my mother camera around my neck, dressed up in a tux and I had rented for the night, and the beginning of a very large headache.
Mom was rushing around happy tears springing from her eyes as she took a million different pictures of me.
Jo's date, Thomas Bentz, was sitting in the living room as we waited on Jo so we could leave together. "Jo! Come on or the limo will leave us!" I yelled from the bottom of the stairway.
"Alright Alright, I'm coming!" A few minutes later I heard Jo walk into the living room. "It's about t-" Whatever I was about to say next was forgotten the moment I saw Jo standing there. To say she looked stunning wouldn't do what I saw in front of me any justice at all. Instead of going with a big, white dress that I originally thought she would wear, she was wearing a small black V-neck dress that swirled all around her body and came to a stop at her ankles.
The dress was split at the bottom as well, giving it a mermaid's tail. She had her normally straight Blonde hair in a sideways fashion with the tips of her bangs, which were hanging on the side of her face, were dyed black.
Both thomas and I gaped at the vision of beauty in front of us. Jo finished walking down the stairs and stood right in front of me, close enough that I could see every detail of her dark red eyeliner. 'You know it's not too late, we could go by ourselves we don't need to go with anyone else.' Nothing was said between us, but I could read her well enough that we could have secret conversations with anyone noticing. We stared at each other for a moment before I looked down at the floor.
"Okay then." Jo said tightly before going over and wrapping her arms around Thomas's arm. I felt somthing deep insideof me burn intensly, in fact it grew so intense that I had to bit my lip from crying out. I calmed myself down to the best of my extent and succeeded (somewhat) by pure willpower.
As we walked out the house to go inside of the limo I called for thomas to come speak to me after he had put Jo inside of the car all gentlemanly and such. He came over to a place where jo couldn't see our face and I glared at thomas with all the hatred I could muster, which wasen't that hard considering I already disliked the guy more then anything.
"Alright Bentz, listen to me and listen to me well." I said getting all up and personal with him. "I want this day to be special for her, so you better treat her like a queen or else you find out just how good the dirt tastes, And if I hear one single thing that you are doing to mistreat her or see you trying to hurt or abuse her in anyway, I swear to god there will be no mercy on you when I find your ass." Thomas smirked and pushed me.
"Lay off dweeb, don't start acting all cocky because you beat derrick in a fight with luck. The rest of us aren't that easy to beat. And don't worry about your precious little sister, I won't do anything to her that she dosen't want." He pushed me out of his way and I had to seriously to keep from trashing to little SOB right where he stood. By sheer will, I forced a smile onto my face and walked to the car and drove us to the party in silence. But after seeing Jo in her dress made everyone else look like they were dressed in jeans and T-shirts by comparison.
I still acted polite and told her she looked goregous. Her mom and dad took photos and soon, we were on our way. I had to give the faculty credit, while they may suck at teaching, they sure do know how to decorate.
The walkway to the gym had a red carpet and searchlights fanned the sky.
As we walked in, It felt more like we had entered a club than a high school prom. There were people crowding the drink table and a couple by the wall, but the majority of the school seemed to be on the dancefloor.
We found a table and ordered some food before we started exploring.A Couple of girls asked me to take their picture so I ended up getting separated from Thomas and Jo.
The girls got their picture taken, but still hung around giggling and trying to flirt. Under normal situations, I probably would've been drooling over them and trying not to drool over them, but after seeing Jo in her dress made everyone else look like they were dressed in jeans and T-shirts by comparison.
I still acted polite and told them they looked gorgeous and flirted a bit with them but I wasn't really interested in anything they had to offer. I took a few more pictures before I started back toward my table. Somehow, the group of girls had gotten me to the opposite side of the room, so I had to fight my way through the crowd of dancing teens.
When I arrived, the pair of them had disappeared. I felt a cold fear trickle through my chest as I looked around frantically to find Jo. I calmed down when I saw her and Thomas laughing at the punch table. I felt the burning sensation in my chest again, but this time, it was quelled by an immense wave of sadness that washed over me. I walked over to one of the benches on the side of the wall and sat down my hands covering my face.
I don't know what's wrong with me, I should be happy knowing that my sister likes someone that likes her to, but all I felt was a dull sadness in my heart. Well if she can find some fun around here, I shouldn't moping, I should trying to live my life!
This Is Prom, the night of memories and dreams, not some place to be sitting around. I was pulled out of my internal pep talk when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I looked to see a small mousy haired girl who was wearing a small red dress. "Uh, are you J.P?" She asked timidly shuffling her feet. I smiled at her nervousness and stood up. "Yeah I'm J.P, did you need something?" The brown-haired girl blushed as she stumbled over her words trying to get them out in the right order.
"Um, well, You see, I, um, kinda wonder if you, um-" I Tried stifling my laughter as she turned even redder. I took a quick peek into her mind to see what she was trying to say. "Yes I would love to have this dance with you Ava." I said with a smile as her jaw dropped and her blush increased to match the color of her dress.
"H-how-?" "How did I remember your name? Well it's kinda hard to forget the girl who's in two of my classes and printed my fight on the front page of every newspaper in school in big bold letters." I said with a smirk, pulling most of what I said straight from her memory. Ava's ended up doing an impression of a fish out of water as I laughed and took her hand and lead her to the dance floor.
After we found a spot where we could move comfortably, she put her hands tightly around my shoulders and mine resting lightly on her waist as we rocked to the slow-paced music. We started talking about school and how stupid most of teachers are until we became comfortable talking to each other. A few minutes later, after the song ended, Ava and I sat down laughing and just enjoying each other's company. Finally once we sobered down a bit, ava rested her head on her hand.
"To tell you the truth, I didn't even want to go to prom. All of my friends were going with their boyfriends and I didn't want to go alone. Then Mark Cramer asked me to come, So I was super excited to come, but as soon we get here, he goes after a group of cheerleaders and forgets about little ol' me." I sighed as I felt I could relate to that feeling.
"Looks like we're both having a sucky night, The girl I wanted to ask ended geting asked by someone else, so I had to go with my sister and her date." Ava frowned at that.
"Wait a minute, isn't Jo your sister? And she was going with Thomas right?" Now it was my turn to frown. "Yeah why?" Ava shook her head. "They left a few minutes ago, Thomas said that she wasen't feeling good so he was going to take her home. He got into a car with Derrick and his crew&hellip." I didn't hear anything else Ava said.
I stood up and walked towards then door, a suprised ava on my tail. "Wait, where are you going?" I didn't answer her until I got to the parking lot. "I'm going to go kill some basterds and get my sister." "What? No!" Ava tried to stop me by grabbing my jacket."The half of the football team went with them! You could get seriously hurt!" I turned around and grabbed Ava in a tight hug. "Thanks for caring and for the info, but my sister is in danger right now.
I have to go." My tone of voice left no room for an argument as I turned on my heel and bolted down the street. Once I was out of view of the school, I jumped into the air and blasted the air behind me, causing me to soar forward with amazing speed.
I sent out a mental sonar to see If I could find Jo's mind near me. After a minute, my sonar picked up Jo's mind, surrounded by twenty or so others which I assumed were the football team in a forrested area about a mile away from here.
I growled in rage as I blasted myself forward with even more power, shooting me forward. Hold on Jo, I thought as I raced down the road.
